Leaders Meet in Dubai To Inspire The Next Generation of Government Services
For the last several years, I’ve been fortunate enough to be the moderator of the annual Government Services Forum. This event which we’ve held several times in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and once at the University of California at Berkeley, continues to be a source of great inspiration by and for government and business leaders all over the world. This year, like several prior years, we held it at the World Government Summit. However, on this occasion it was particularly special as it was being held within the remarkable Expo 2020 Dubai location. To say we were all inspired would be an understatement.
The Government Services Forum
The Government Services Forum was created and is hosted by the leadership of the UAE. Each year, it brings together senior leaders from both the public and private sectors, as well as academia, to share perspectives on the future of delivering government services.
The Forum is limited to around 10 panelists. This year they represented governments from several regions of the world and a few from the private sector. Together with a small, invited audience, the Forum explored new ideas, opportunities for collaboration, and discussed policies to support better government services.
